Donald Trump has announced that Israel is ready to move forward with a 60-day ceasefire in Gaza, urging Hamas to seize this opportunity before the situation deteriorates further.

The US president shared this update ahead of his upcoming talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House next week. He has been applying pressure on both the Israeli government and Hamas to reach an agreement on a ceasefire and a resolution regarding hostages, aiming to bring an end to the conflict.

In a social media post, Mr. Trump stated, “My Representatives had a long and productive meeting with the Israelis today on Gaza. Israel has agreed to the necessary conditions to finalize the 60-Day CEASEFIRE, during which time we will work with all parties to end the War.” He added that Qatari and Egyptian officials would be responsible for delivering the final proposal.

He concluded with, “I hope, for the good of the Middle East, that Hamas takes this Deal, because it will not get better – IT WILL ONLY GET WORSE.”
