AMERICAN FLYER GILBERT SPEAKER HORN REPAIR KIT
Parts needed to replace the Speaker, Capacitor and Resistor in an
American Flyer Steam Air Chime Whistle or Diesel Horn.
Kit contains One(1) 2" Dia. PM Dynamic Speaker, One(1) Capacitor, One(1) Resistor and Wiring Diagrams.
The kit is meant to replace a defective paper capacitor with a modern electrolytic capacitor.
The resistor, which was not included in early models was added by Gilbert to increase the sound.
This service assumes American Flyer control unit is functional.
Those units that did not originally come with a resistor,
the resistor is connected in parallel with the capacitor.
