I purchased this at a Disney Store location.
I opened it once on the day I bought it, but I found it easier to display in the box, so I put it back in the box as shown in the pictures and displayed it on a shelf away from direct sunlight.
The Little Mermaid one has been on display the whole time, so the batteries are dead, but when I pressed the button when I bought it, the lights and sound worked without any problems.
It's in beautiful condition with no scratches or stains. I think the transparent part of the box is also clean with no scratches.
