Antique Maastricht Weer Vry, WWII Commemorative Plate made in Holland. “Plate, earthenware, moulded, painted overglaze in the centre with St Servatius Bridge, Maastricht surrounded by a wreath, the sun beaming above, the boder decorated with flags of Britain, US and France, a shield with a white star on a red ground (the arms of Maastricht) and the inscription MAASTRICHT WEER VRY 14-9 1944. Factory mark on reverse. “ (The British Museum) In very good condition. Free of chips, cracks breaks or repairs. It has a small scratch on the number 4 of the 1944. There is also a copy of this exact plate reserved at The British museum in London. Own a piece of history.
