VINTAGE NAVAJO Indian DOLL by ALICE BOWIE and a mini Seminole doll, Red Velvet, Beads, Native American Description: A classic Navajo Indian Doll by Native American artisan: Alice Bowie . This doll is an older vintage doll. Exact age is unknown. This is an adorable handmade soft bodied doll. The doll is wearing a traditional Navajo woman's dress: a red velvet blouse and skirt. She also has a petticoat of pink dot cloth. Her feet have sewn on red felt fabric "boots". The doll has a painted-on face. The hair is a very fine black yarn like thread and is a bit rumpled. She has beaded earrings and beaded necklace. She also has a decoration of sewn on sequins.The doll is signed on the bottom of the right foot by the artist. The doll comes from an Estate collection. This is a collectible doll and is not intended for small children.
CONDITION: Very good vintage condition.
