Liverpool footballer Diogo Jota has tragically lost his life in a car accident in Spain at the age of 28. His brother Andre, who was also a footballer, was with him during this heartbreaking incident. Stay tuned for updates as tributes begin to pour in.

Police said the accident happened at 12.30am when the Lamborghini the pair were travelling in veered off the road.
A vehicle veered off the road, and preliminary reports suggest that a tire burst occurred while overtaking, according to a statement from the Guardia Civil in Zamora to Sky Sports News.
Tragically, the accident resulted in a fire that claimed the lives of both occupants. While forensic tests are still pending, one of the deceased has been confirmed as Diogo Jota, a player for Liverpool FC, along with his brother, Andre Felipe.
A source from the Spanish government indicated to the PA news agency that authorities are looking into the possibility of speeding being a factor in the crash.
This incident comes just ten days following Jota’s wedding to his long-time partner, Rute Cardoso.
He had three children.
Diogo Jota played as a striker for Liverpool.
He began his career in his native Portugal and played at Atletico Madrid in Spain before moving to England.
He joined the Merseyside club from Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2020.
Jota played an important role throughout his five years with the Reds, including scoring six times in Liverpool’s recent Premier League-winning season.
He scored a total of 47 times in 123 matches for the club. He also played 49 times for the Portugal national side, scoring 14 times.
His brother, Andre, 26, played for Penafiel, a Portuguese second division club.
